Amelie Robinson is Busselton's Australia Day baby

03 Feb, 2010 11:26 AM
NEWBORN Amelie Robinson’s birthday will always be celebrated with a public holiday and fireworks.

Born at 5.55pm on January 26, Amelie was Busselton’s only Australia Day baby, weighing in at a healthy 3760gms.

She is the first child of Shevaune and Mark Robinson, and was two days overdue when she made her entry into the world in the maternity suite at Busselton District Hospital.

While Shevaune grew up in Busselton, Mark was born in the UK, but there’s no doubt Amelie is a true-blue Aussie girl.

“It is exciting that she was born on Australia Day,” Shevaune said.

“We will be able to celebrate her birthday on a holiday and with fireworks every year – we might just let her think we organised it all for her for a while.”
