Busselton's oral history available on CD

09 Feb, 2011 11:39 AM
THE Busselton Oral History Group officially handed over the recently completed CD collection of interviews to Jan Whitfield who accepted them on behalf of the Busselton and Duns-borough libraries.

The handover of the CDs was the culmination of many hundreds of hours of work and was witnesses by local members of Parliament Troy Buswell, Nola Marino, Adele Farina and Barry House, shire president Ian Stubbs and his wife Rhonda, Crs David Reid, Gordon Bleechmore and Jackie Emery. Busselton community groups, Busselton Oral History members and transcribers and representatives from other oral history groups in the South West also attended.

Jan Whitfield expressed her appreciation on receiving the interviews in CD form and they intend to display them in the Audio section of the Library.

The CDs were displayed by the Busselton Library staff and many complimentary comments were received on the design of the covers.

The library staff have not yet finalised the cataloguing of the interviews but anyone interested in borrowing a particular interview can leave their name and details at the library.
