Fishing funtime

21 Jan, 2009 08:21 AM
FREE fishy family fun will be happening at the Busselton foreshore tomorrow.

‘Fish for the Future’ will be held from 10-11.30am when participants can learn about fishing rules and regulations, identification, fish-friendly tackle, bait selection, release techniques and other great tips on how to look after the marine and coastal environment.

Bait and equipment will be provided, however, if you have your own equipment you can bring that along and even get some tips on how to use it properly. Bookings are essential.

From 11.30am-12.15pm you can take part in ‘Geographe Gems’ where you can look in the discovery pool and investigate marine organisms.

A sausage sizzle will follow the events.

Remember your hat, sunscreen, closed shoes and bring a bottle of water to drink.

You’ll find Gilbert Stokman 200m west of the Equinox, by a blue marquee.
