BUSSELTON has won the Community Action category of the South West Tidy Towns competition and is now a state finalist.
Tidy towns judge, Glenys Anderson, said that she was impressed with the number of community volunteer groups in Busselton and the wide variety of their projects. Some of the suggestions made by the judge included creating a regular gathering of all the volunteer groups, converting one of the CBD streets into a mall and expanding the Possum Centre.
President of the Keep Busselton Beautiful Committee, Di Carter, thanked all residents, community groups and schools for their participation.
