THE second week of local softball action saw the intermediates begin their season and the men and women play their second round of fixtures.
The men’s and women’s divisions are looking competitive, while the intermediates are looking for some more players.
In the men’s division HR Hitters remain the only undefeated team after a close win over Rangers.
In the other match-up Young Guns defeated Coasters in a low-scoring affair.
Cougars and Coastal Diamond, the new team from Dunsborough, have both won their opening two games in the women’s competition and were convincing winners in round two.
Cougars thrashed Strikers I 30-1 and Diamonds won 21-9 against Capel, while Strikers II had a strong 23-3 win over Rangers in the other match-up
The intermediates saw Strikers defeat Cougars, 21-17, however the other game was abandoned because of lack of numbers.
The association is still looking for several more players for the intermediates competition which runs on Thursday nights. Anyone aged between 12 and 16 that is thinking of signing up should contact Robert on 0438 511 672.
