Successful Busselton 1000 Carnival

11 Jan, 2012 09:31 AM
THE Busselton Bowling Club held it’s annual Busselton 1000 Carnival on January 2-3.

The two days were a great success and enjoyed by all. The club captain Ron Grigg and the match committee were responsible for organising the competition, and Ron and Margaret Grigg kept the scores and made sure that all were correct. Phyl Peach and her team of volunteers in the kitchen kept the 200 men fed for two days. The bar and raffles were also a great success.

Harcourts sponsored the competition and Neil Honey was there to present the prizes.

Greenkeeper Ian Pennington and his hard working greens committee were able to prepare 25 rinks, allowing 50 teams to take part in the competition which is a record for the club.

The winners were N Stevens, L Mazga, G Blacklock and A Grieves.

Second were were B Thompson, D Dixon, J Paganoni and G Black.

Third were M Howard, A Bramley, P Biagioni and L Thomas.
