THE Trade Hire Busselton Motorfest celebrated its fifth birthday with a cash giveaway.
Ray Dowell, the Busselton Football Club’s fundraising coordinator for the event, was delighted with the turnout for the show and thanked the sponsors, volunteers and exhibitors for making the day so successful.
Together with Trade Hire’s representative Chris Reynolds, Ray was thrilled to present the Busselton Renal Dialysis Centre with a cheque for $6000 for the purchase of a specialised blanket warming machine to be used by patients to regulate their body temperature during their frequent treatments.
Ant Pursell from the South West Disabled Surfing Association was presented with a cheque for $1000, with a commitment of another $2000 over the next two years, to assist with the upkeep of equipment and events.
The Busselton Motorfest Good Guys tug-of-war competition winners Cornerstone Soccer Club, represented by Steve Lane, received a cheque for $1000 from Lisa English, the manager of the Busselton Good Guys store.
