AS a new resident to Busselton (two years) I have come to the conclusion that the town would have to be the most conservative and boring place in WA.
I often walk along the neglected foreshore and hear the cockies enjoying themselves and bringing to life what is otherwise an eyesore. I am ashamed to take visitors to the foreshore, not because of the cockies, but because of the lack of amenities and decent, reasonably-priced cafes.
So leave the cockies alone. Seriously the very long-term residents need to open their minds and eyes to encourage diversity and change, so that people will want to come here and not “bypass” Busselton.
