THERE is nothing worse than children watching other children have fun because you are unable to.
This is what Dunsborough mother Sharyn Monk said on the opening of the new all access playground at Seymour Park.
Her eight year old daughter Claire is disabled and before today the family had to travel to Bunbury or even Perth so Claire could play.
After today the City of Busselton can now boast two all access playgrounds – in Busselton and Dunsborough.
“Now she can play with her friends,” Mrs Monk said.
Cr Henley was on the all access committee at the City and said it was a “wonderful feeling to evolve from a despairing email from the Monk family to now see the playground come to fruition”.
Funding came from the charity organization Variety and the state government to help bring the playground to life.
Mr Buswell said it was a great attribute of the community to come together and want to be inclusive.
The playground boasts an ability wheel and birds nest swing.
