THIS letter is in response to Mr. Smith’s (letter of 20/11/2013) bitter opinion as a resident of Provence Estate.
I too, reside in Provence and specifically chose this area, more than four years ago.
I am a proud and happy homeowner and enjoy the many great aspects of living here.
Close proximity to town, with plenty of choice for shopping, theatre, beaches, parks, quick and easy access to the bypass - to go anywhere I wish.
With regards to Mr. Smith’s numerous unwarranted complaints, I find it difficult to understand, since everyone knew of the airport nearby.
Quite frankly, we hardly notice any such noise or traffic. But, if you don’t like living only five kms away – then you’d need to live much further.
But, Mr. Smith would probably find that area noisy too, with weekend boat traffic, beach-goers, picnickers, events, etc.
My husband and I walk around Provence every day, along the planted parks which are lush and green, with plenty of open space for families to enjoy.
There are very few weeds, no more than any other park in Busselton.
We feel quite blessed to live in a fairly quiet, safe and attractive area, with very little road traffic.
We go into town as often as needed to shop and use the post-boxes, easily found there.
I’m sick of hearing negative things about a place I’m happy to call home.
If you’re not happy here – please do something else about it instead of whingeing. Why not start thinking positively, Provence Estate is quite a lovely place to live and it’s even getting better.
C. Wood,
Provence
