Busselton has had a relatively quiet yet progressive off season welcoming back 2005 Hayward medallist Nathan Bradbury and recruiting former Swan District player Kyle Hams.
Powerhouse ruckman Brent Hall will also be welcomed back into the side after injury sidelined him in 2013.
Hall was instrumental in their grand final win over Collie in 2012 and with arguably the best midfielder in the competition.
Along with Daniel McGinlay the Magpies may cause a few upsets.
Busselton will go into games with a competitive attitude as always and won’t take any losses lightly.
However saying farewell to Jon Taylor won’t be easy as he provided plenty of overlap run for Busselton in 2013.
Tim Ioannou will remain along with Jordan Eastwell who can provide a good dosage of run along the wing.
Yet forward line issues remain at Busselton.
Kicking goals will be a problem with no key forwards which will in turn make it easy for opposing backlines to run the ball out of defence.
It’s a wary year for Busselton but perhaps a few good performances may allow them to sneak into the finals.
