EMOTIONAL and surreal were the two words one cyclist used to explain his ride from Geraldton to Busselton on Thursday.
Three cyclists representing Harcourts WA took on the adventure of their lives as they rode the 650 kilometre distance for charity.
The smiles could not be wiped off Leigh Moore, Jason Hapeta and Lou Raspa’s faces as they arrived at the Busselton Harcourts office to an uproar of cheers and car’s beeping their horns.
The event was called the Great Harcourts WA Charity Cycle of 2014 and has raised more than $34,000 for the Telethon Adventures, a charity raising money to find a cure for childhood cancers.
Harcourts WA’s charity, the Harcourts Foundation, have been raising money for the worthy cause for the six months leading up to the event and during the event itself.
The Busselton Harcourts office raised $1020 on Thursday at their sausage sizzle and wanted to thank everyone for their support.
Mr Raspa said the ride had been fabulous and the team had the best time.
