PELICAN sailing dinghies arrived from as far afield as Esperance and Geraldton for the Annual Easter Regatta.
Thirteen boats competed, down on the usual number which was most likely due to the huge attendance for the states competition in January.
Camping on the lawn was again permitted, a great draw card, allowing families to keep an eye on their cherished boats.
There was a wonderful atmosphere of friendship and fun as children managed to hunt for Easter eggs between races.
The weather was kind, the breeze a little too mild for the more intrepid sailors but perfect on the many novice skippers who took part.
The Regatta ended disappointingly on a windless Monday in which the final race was cancelled.
Half an hour later a breeze came up but was too late as packing up had already begun.
Presentations took place prior to lunch allowing families to head home before the crowds.
Riley Nail and crew member Lachlan Putt in Bunyip 2 placed first in the overall pelican state championship with Bunyip 4 finishing tenth overall.
