9.05pm: Dave Kennedy has been announced as the Australian winner of the very first Busselton Wings For Life World Run, the car hasn't caught him yet but he is too far out ahead.
9.00pm: Only three runners left in the world first event for Busselton.
8.45pm: Eight runners left in the race.
8.40pm: And we're down to the final 10 runners.
8.30pm: The catcher car has increased its speed to 17 kilometres an hour. 458 runners are out and just 18 are left in the run.
8.15pm: 437 runners out, 39 still in the race.
8.00pm: 388 runners out, 88 still in the race.
7.45pm: 326 runners are out with 150 runners still in.
7.30pm: The catcher car has sped up now to 16 kilometres an hour. 195 runners are out, with 281 are still in the race. Courtney Atkinson is in the lead for the men and Laoise Thuama for the women.
7.15pm: 102 runners have been passed by the catcher car. 375 people still in the race.
7.00pm: Courtney Atkinson has almost reached the 15km mark. 16 people caught by catcher car.
6.45pm: Courtney Atkinson is currently in the lead for Busselton.
6.30pm: The catcher car has officially started at 15 kilometres per hour and once it overtakes a runner, their run is finished.
6.15pm: The catcher car will start in 15 minutes and will provide a second rush of adrenaline for the runners.
6.00pm:The first ever Busselton Wings For Life World Run has commenced.
5.45pm: The runners get de-briefed ahead of the 6pm run start.
WINGS for life World Run is set to kick off in Busselton today at 6pm as well as 33 other locations across the world.

Saturday: Australian TV stars and athletes arrived in Perth ahead of the Wings for Life World Run in Busselton.
Olympic canoer Jess Fox, snowboarder Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin and Bondi Rescue stars Ryan Whippet Clark and Daniel Beardy McLaughlin fronted media in the capital city before the drive to WA's regional events capital Busselton.
Sunday: Competitors arrive to the scenic town on Busselton where they will compete in the inaugural Wings for Life World Run.
So far there have been more than 500 people registered for the Australian leg of the event.
Registrations will still be open on race day from 10am to 3pm.
