A ute ran off the road and crashed into a tree during heavy rain on the Busselton Bypass this afternoon.
The ute was left with a tree leaning across its roof.
The man had been travelling west, just after the Clydebank Avenue intersection, veered across oncoming traffic into trees on side of the road.
Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the car was taken by ambulance to hospital for minor injuries.
Andy Thompson from the State Emergency Service said the driver had been very lucky.
“He has managed to miss on-coming cars
“We don’t know what caused him to veer off the road, but it was possibly due to the heavy rain and poor visibility.
“We won’t know what actually caused the crash until police speak to the driver,” Mr Thompson said.
