TWO elderly Busselton women have been injured after their car collided with a truck south of Bunbury.
The incident happened this morning at the intersection of Bussell Highway and Harewoods Road.
The women were taken to St John of God Hospital in Bunbury for treatment after sustaining minor injuries in the crash.
One of the women has a suspected broken wrist.
The truck was travelling south along Bussell Highway when it made a right hand turn into Harewoods Road.
Police believe the truck driver failed to give way and collided with a 4WD traveling north on the Bussell Highway.
The semi-trailer truck which carried sand was empty at the time.
The truck driver was unharmed.
One lane was closed on the northbound on Bussell Highway for about two hours.
The accident caused a back-up of about 12 trucks waiting to turn into Harewoods Road, while the accident was cleaned up.
