THE proposal for a potential microbrewery, restaurant or function centre on the Busselton foreshore is open for public comment.
Advertising of the proposal began on Wednesday May 28 and will be open for comment until June 18.
The location of the potential hospitality venue would be the crown land at the rear of the existing Nautical Lady Lighthouse Tower which is adjacent to the Busselton Jetty.
The City proposes to demolish the Nautical Lady Lighthouse Tower and refreshment kiosk to help restore the foreshore land and turn it back into public open space.
The area of land proposed for the project will be 1700 square metres which will be the building size and includes an alfresco area.
The building will also be two storeys.
Other proposals part of the Busselton Foreshore Redevelopment plan includes a new east-west access road and public piazza, a new visitor interpretative centre to the east, a public amphitheatre and water playground.
Residents can express their view via the City of Busselton website or by going into the City’s administration building.
