BUSSELTON Magpie skipper Daniel McGinlay has been chosen to represent WA in the interstate country football competition.
McGinlay was chosen after a stellar performance at the Landmark Country Football Championships where he won the Jock Coleman medal.
McGinlay was the only Busselton player to be chosen for the event.
State assistant coach and selector Shane Darmody said he was confident they put together a strong team for the competition.
“All players selected were really enthusiastic about the game and proud to be representing their state,” he said.
“We owe South Australia a couple, so the boys are looking forward to getting over there and giving it a crack.”
The WA Country Football League will take on South Australia on July 26 as a curtain raiser to the Port Adelaide v Adelaide SANFL game.
