Bupa Australia has signed a new 10-year lease at NAB House, 255 George Street, (pictured), to cater for its growing operations. The agreement means Bupa will remain within AMP's Capital Wholesale Office Fund (AWOF) portfolio, relocating from the AMP Centre at 50 Bridge Street and another office location in Sydney.

Peppers Hotels has officially opened its first CBD-based hotel, Peppers Gallery Hotel Canberra, (formerly the Diamant Hotel), in the heart of the capital’s New Acton precinct. The building has played a significant role in Canberra’s pioneering origins and now holds an important place in Peppers 30-year-history, evolving from a small group of regional retreats to include extensive coastal resorts and now stylish metropolitan-based hotels and apartments. Newly-listed Mantra Group chief executive Bob East said the company would continue to seek out opportunities for further CBD expansion for the Peppers brand. “It has always been our objective to take the Peppers brand to CBD locations and it is great to see Peppers in the national capital. We have a brand new Peppers development set to open in Melbourne’s Docklands precinct in 2016 and will continue to seek out further CBD opportunities in the meantime,’’ he said.
