OVER the weekend the young Cavaliers Year 7/8 girls Orange and White teams braved the weather in very trying conditions.
There were some clever forward runs by the Orange team however the white defence did well to hold off a lot of these attacks.
A special mention to the Cavaliers White goalie Immogen Dawson who managed to fend off numerous attempts at goals.
The end score of 4-1 to the Orange team which did not reflect how well both teams played.
However, in the end it was the skills and experience of the Orange team which won them the game.
Great sportsmanship was shown by both of these teams.
Best players for the game were Ella du Preez, Olivia Lee and Aili Mcmahon of the Orange team and Lily Burns, Georgia Ingrey and Immogen Dawson for the White Team.
Sunday saw the Cavaliers boys Year 9 to 12 take on the team from Wests playing in much better conditions than the girls experienced the day before.
The spectators really enjoyed watching this game as both teams were quite evenly matched and the score kept alternating.
There was a lot of on and off field camaraderie not only between the players but the supporters too.
The Cavaliers boys however were the ultimate victors with the final score of four goals to three.
Goal scorers for the Cavaliers team were Mile Cremen - 2, Nicholas Piva 1 and Bryte Townsend 1.
Ben Myburgh of Wests scored all three of the goals for the Wests.
