A CENTURY of service and kindness by the Australian Red Cross was celebrated at a special service on Sunday.
In conjunction with a Korean’s Memorial Service the Busselton Red Cross unveiled a plaque which commemorated 100 years of service in Australia.
The plaque was unveiled by Federal member for Forrest Nola Marino and Busselton Red Cross vice president Jan McGeachin.
The event was attended by Red Cross and community members as well as City of Busselton mayor Ian Stubbs, Busselton war veteran Grant Henley, RSL president Bob Woods and Vasse MLA Troy Buswell.
After the service and unveiling the group enjoyed a morning tea at the Busselton RSL.
Red Cross members Margaret Strong and Joyce McDonald were unable to attend the event and gave their apologies.
