THE City of Busselton is asking businesses to have their say on extending retail trading hours.
If the proposal to extend the hours is endorsed it would mean Busselton would have the same operating hours as Dunsborough.
The last permanent change to retail trading hours in Busselton was made in October 2011.
A recent review of the trading regimes across the City of Busselton highlighted the frequency of requests for seasonal extensions and the anomalies in trading hours between Busselton and Dunsborough.
The opening hours in the proposal are from 8am to 9pm seven days a week.
The proposal includes businesses being closed Christmas Day, Good Friday and ANZAC until 1pm.
If the proposal is endorsed the city will have to apply to the department of commerce for approval.
Public submission close on August 22 and can be done by emailing city@busselton.wa.gov.au
They can also be mailed to City of Busselton, Locked Bag 1, BUSSELTON WA 6280.
