POLICE are happy with the results of raids on two properties in Bunbury and six properties in Busselton this morning targeting a South West outlaw motorcycle gang.
The joint operation between WA police, South West District officers and the Gang Crime Squad had the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang in its sights.
Police seized $25000 in cash, a quantity of drugs including cannabis, MDMA powder, ecstasy and a number of weapons such as pepper spray, a stun gun and a homemade firearm in the raids

● 1 x .22 calibre round

● less 1 gm MDMA powder
● 1 x Harley Davidson Motorcycle
● 200gms unknown white powder
A 27 year old male member of the Rebels OMCG from Busselton has been charged with three counts of Possess Drug (steroids & prescription drugs) and he is due to appear in the Busselton Magistrates Court on August 26.
A 26 year old male associate of the Rebels OMCG from Busselton has been charged with two counts of Possess Smoking Implement and one count each of Possess Cannabis and Possess Unlicenced Ammunition.
He is due to appear in the Busselton Magistrates Court on September 8.
A 21 year old male nominee of the Rebels OMCG from Busselton has been summonsed with Possession Prohibited Weapon (stun gun) and will appear in court at a later date.
A 32 year old female associate of the Rebels OMCG from Leschanault has been summonsed with Possession of Cannabis and will appear in court at a later date.
South West District Inspector Geoff Stewart told media on Thursday afternoon that the raids were a success.
“WA Police are intent on ensuring the safety of our community which includes the disruption and dismantling of criminal activity,” he said.
“This includes the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and we will continue to do so,” he said.
Inspector Stewart said a 21-year-old Busselton man was charged with possession of a stun gun and a 32-year-old Leschenault woman was charged with possession of cannabis following the raids.
“A number of people that we’ve spoken to at the residences, businesses and the clubhouse are known to police,” he said.
“Our findings are not a surprise but we’re just glad they are out of the community.”
Inspector Stewart said a number of investigations and inquiries were still ongoing with further charges expected to be laid.
11am: South West Detectives and Gang Crime Squad officers conducted several search warrants this morning in the Bunbury and Busselton areas.
All premises were linked to the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Club and their club house was also searched.
Items seized included steroids, pills and powder believed to be MDMA, large amounts of cash, a homemade firearm and an assortment of weapons.
Inspector Geoff Stewart from the South West District Office spoke with some media this morning outside a property in Broadwater in relation to today's action.

10:30am: Police have arrived at the Rebels clubhouse on Plackett Way in the Busselton Light Industrial Area.
10:20am: Police have invited the media to the South West District station at midday for photographs of the seized items.
9:30am: Police have seized drugs, weapons including a firearm, steroids and $22,000 of cash as part of the raids on properties in Bunbury and Busselton.
Inspector Geoff Stewart told the Mail that a number of people were assisting police with enquiries relating to the seized items.
9:15am: Three police police cars and a number of officers just left a house on Forrest Avenue in South Bunbury which is believed to be connected to the raids.
9am: Gang crime officers from Perth conducted simultaneous raids in Bunbury and Busselton at about 6am on Thursday morning to target the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
Two neighbouring properties on Crouchley Court, in Broadwater, are currently being searched by police as part of these raids as well as a house in Bunbury
Inspector Geoff Stewart told a reporter from the Mail that a number of actions are being conducted by South West police in the two towns.
"WA police are committed to the safety of our community and the disruption and dismantling of criminal activity and the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang is part of that," Inspector Stewart said.
