THE time has come to take a walk on the wild side with the Busselton Naturalists Club as they host their first wildflower excursion for spring.
On Sunday September 21, the club will be travelling around the countryside searching for this season’s newest blooms.
The walk begins at an unnamed reserve to observe the profuse amounts of orchids.
Lunch is held at the Pepperwood Winery after a 3.4km walk through Ten Mile Brook Reserve.
From there the group will travel through an area of the National Park where kangaroos have been restricted from, resulting in an abundance of wildflowers.
The final stop will be at the Higgins Road Interpretive Site, nestled at the edge of the Tuart Forest National Park.
Transportation shall be provided for $10 each.
The bus leaves from the front of the Paradise Motel in Pries Avenue, Busselton at 9am exactly, returning at 5pm.
Participants are asked to provide their own morning/afternoon tea as well as a picnic lunch.
The excursion is open for all to join but bus seats are limited.
