THE Geographe Bay Tourism Association is about to launch a new campaign which takes advantage of Perth tourists visiting the region.
Last year’s visitation statistics showed up to 86 per cent of the tourists came from Perth.
Named Recharge Yourself the campaign is to show Perth residents how to escape the daily grind of the city and relax.
As part of the campaign people will be able to nominate a Perth resident who needs to escape and ‘recharge’ from the stresses of work and life.
The winner will literally be removed from their daily routine when they are surprised at their office in November and whisked from Perth to Geographe Bay with three friends via stretch limousine.
The whole experience, including the moment of surprise, will be captured on camera for an online video.
The winner will experience a sky dive onto Busselton’s picturesque beach as well as experiences some of the best food and wine in the area.
The association has asked Busselton businesses to jump on board the campaign which will be launched next Tuesday.
Businesses can take photos which show off the region’s best spring experiences and share them on social media with the hashtag #rechargerescueperth.
Businesses can also send the photos to GBTA website.
The Recharge Yourself campaign is the initiative of the City of Busselton, Geographe Bay Tourism Association, Busselton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dunsborough Yallingup Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Busselton Jetty.
