POLICE are investigating whether fatigue was a factor of a Pemberton crash at the weekend which saw a Broadwater pedestrian hospitalised with serious injuries.
On Saturday September 27 about 4.40pm a Toyota Hilux was travelling south west on Vasse Highway along Brockman Street where it is believed the vehicle veered off the road, striking the pedestrian who was standing next to his car.
The pedestrian received numerous injuries after he was thrown through the air as a result of the impact and was given first aid and CPR by members of the public until the ambulance arrived.
The pedestrian was taken to Manjimup Hospital and later flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue Helicopter.
The pedestrian’s car was also struck during the incident.
Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
