BUSSELTON Pottery Club will host its first open day in October on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5.
Held at the Old Butter Factory, the day promises to be an exciting look into the world of pottery craft.
Watch the experts at work as demonstrations on hand building and wheelwork technique are on display.
The Pottery Club will also be showcasing their work for people to buy.
Afternoon tea will also be available on the day for visitors enjoying the works.
The Pottery Club is currently working on a large scale project of a sea serpent to be ready for exhibition at the 2015 Sculptures by the Bay.
“We involve all members in the project, everyone can help out,” Pottery Club member Brigitta Kurmann said.
“We have about 30 members with a core group of about 10 or 12 people at every gathering on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Old Butter Factory,” she said.
According to Ms Kermann, the hand crafted serpent should be over three metres long by its completion.
Ms Kurmann said everyone was welcome to come along to the open day to experience what they do best and to see if they might want to join in on the fun.
Entry is a gold coin donation with all money raised going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
