BUSSELTON community groups and small business can apply for grants of up to $300,000 thanks to Royalties for Regions.
Royalties for Regions has brought back its community chest fund each development commission receiving $1.1 million.
The commission will decide what businesses or community groups receive the grants for 2015.
Regional development minister Terry Redman said the funding would have a positive impact on a diverse range of communities and industries across WA, including major regional towns and remote locations.
“Royalties for Regions has a strong focus on supporting local-decision making and these grants will fund strategic region-specific priorities that are driven by local communities,” Mr Redman said.
Busselton Community Gardens were recipients of the one-off $20,000 grant last year.
Guidelines and application processes will be advertised in coming months. Communities will be advised through their local Regional Development Commission when applications are open.
