LOCAL not-for-profit organisation Fostering and Assistance for Wildlife Needing Aid Inc. will celebrate its 30th birthday at this year’s Busselton Agricultural Show and everyone’s invited.
FAWNA is a volunteer-run wildlife rehabilitation organisation based in the South West that provides care to sick or injured animals.
This year will mark the 29th year of the FAWNA animal nursery at the show where domestic animals and native animals that are in care will be displayed.
FAWNA’s vice president Beverley Sykes said the nursery provided an opportunity for the community to learn about the native animals around them.
“Come on down, have some fun and add a bit of colour to your life,” she said.
“The smiles that these animals put on people’s faces as they walk through the gate, that’s what it’s all about.”
The 154th Busselton Agricultural Show will be held on Friday October 31 and Saturday November 1 at Churchill Park in Busselton.
The animal nursery will be on show on Saturday November 1.
