AFTER opening its doors just 10 months ago, Dunsborough’s Piari & Co have already been recognised by The Catering Institute of Western Australia.
The local business recently took out the Licensed Casual Dining - Regional Gold Plate Award at the 2014 Gold Plate Awards.
The annual event recognises the outstanding quality and service provided by restaurants throughout Western Australia.
Being the first award for the business, owner Renee Allen couldn’t wipe the smile off her face.
“We were in absolute shock because we were up against some pretty stiff competition,” she said.
“We attribute the award to our staff,
“The award is based around good food and service and without our friendly and hard working staff we wouldn’t have won.”
Piari & Co were also finalists for two other Gold Plate Awards including Wine List of the Year and Excellence in Health Award.
The event was held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday October 20.
