THE City of Busselton has flagged part of the foreshore for the second beach enclosure.
While the specifications are still to be determined, city officers are considering an option that will see the enclosure encompass the swim jetties, stinger net and first 205m of the Busselton Jetty, just past the first platform.
The City of Busselton mayor Ian Stubbs said various beach locations are currently being considered in order to determine where the enclosure will have broadest benefit.
"Busselton Foreshore is being considered as a viable location given its popularity with visitors and locals," Mayor Stubbs said.
The Premier announced last month that Busselton beach would be the next location for an enclosure following the success of the Dunsborough Beach trial conducted last summer.
