DUNSBOROUGH’s officer in charge Sergeant Pete Bahen said the state in which Castle Rock beach was left after an unauthorised party at the weekend was “disgraceful”.
“Dunsborough Police shared the community’s disgust at those responsible which demanded a quick Police/City of Busselton response,” he said.
“Dunsborough Police immediately began inquiries to locate the offenders.”
Sergeant Bahen said the party was an illegal event which left one of WA’s most pristine beaches in a terrible state.
“The organiser and others did not have the decency to clean up after themselves,” he said.
“The clean-up of this beach was conducted by members of the local community, all congratulations go to them.”
Sergeant Bahen said police inquiries led to the identification of the person responsible who was then interviewed by police.
He said the person who admitted to the crime charged an admission fee to the 100 people who attended.
The offender could face further charges if the City of Busselton decides to charge them under their jurisdiction.
