BUSSELTON community groups and agencies joined the South West Women's Health team as they enjoyed a leisurely walk along the foreshore on Thursday.
The walk was a free event and part of a month long campaign with the Heart Foundation to make walking a priority.
About 100 participants attended including Busselton Library, Community First Bunbury; Family and Relationships, Medicare Local, Australian Red Cross, Playgroup WA, Cancer Council, Lamp, Jobs South West, Waratah, HBF and WASUA Drug and alcohol service.
The Busselton Men's Shed supplied traffic controllers and BJs Fruit and Vege Market and Woolworths supplied fresh fruit for people after the walk.
Health educator at South West Women's Health Anne Mackay said there was a real community spirit with lots of positive feedback heard at the end of the event.
"We are already planning the next event," Ms Mackay said.
"I would like to thank the amazing HBF team for working in collaboration with the South West Women's Health to make this event such a success."
