ON Tuesday Busselton and Dunsborough stopped in silence to remember those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts.
Remembrance services were held at the Old Dunsborough Hall and Busselton War Memorial Park. At 10.45am, Member for Forrest Nola Marino planted a small rose bush at the park, to remember the men who left on the first convoys from Albany and Fremantle a century ago.
Local residents and war veterans gathered at the memorial statue for a minute's silence.
Wreaths were laid by students, community groups, the Busselton RSL club and the public.
This year marks the 96th anniversary of the Armistice which ended the First World War.
