A LARGE fleet took to the water on Saturday, after several difficult race days, the fleet enjoyed blue sky and consistent breeze.
The pelicans sailed two short races both won by Sonic with Sailor Townsend and crew Ollie Roodhouse.
Nearly all the crews were place getters showing the growing confidence of the young sailors.
Two 420’s raced in the Mixed Monos, Hillzeeze narrowly beating Intrepid.
It is hoped that at least two more 420’s will be on the water next week.
In mixed cats, Buzz Off just managed to keep Mak-A-Tak at bay in another close duel.
Many of the growing tasar fleet are still racing their lasers and sharpies so the club have yet to view this new to us class, at full strength.

There was keen rivalry between Matilda and Flirt, Women at Work and C and A. Sunderland showed a clean pair of heels but off scratch were handicapped out.
In Division I Twist and Shout as usual took line honours from Electric Tram first on handicapped.
Millenium Falcon came second giving the Tram a hurry up, only minutes behind.
Skyrider was handicapped third.
The results for last weeks Off Shore Meelup Race win by one minute in a four hour race saw Twist and Shout come third after taking line honours. It was a long, hard race in difficult conditions, with all six finishers deserving considerable credit
