TRIATHLON WA has announced they have already received the capacity amount of competitors for the individual Sunsmart Ironman 70.3 in Busselton.
The 2015 event will see 1650 individuals compete in May.
Event manager Ashleigh Davis said it was an exciting time for the sport and Busselton.
However, Ms Davis said there was still time to register teams for the event.
SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton is the largest event of its type in Australia and now an iconic event on the sporting calendar in Western Australia.
The City of Busselton is an ideal racing environment with the crystal clear swim in Geographe Bay alongside the Busselton Jetty and fast flat roads for the cycle and run.
Ms Davis said Triathlon WA were thrilled with the response from the national and international triathlon community.
“To have the event sell out within two days with such a strong local, interstate and international field is a credit to Triathlon Western Australia and the continued pulling power of the IRONMAN 70.3 brand,” said Ms Davis.
