THE sun was shining at Castle Rock beach for the Margaret River Gourmet Escape Beach BBQ on Sunday.
As the Mail team arrived we were greeted with a glass of wine, fan and a napkin to prepare ourselves for the day ahead.
People had the choice of sitting in the sun or under the teepees, the sun and the breeze were a perfect combination for us in amongst the crowd near the water.
The menu was created by Young Chef of Year Oliver Gould and his chefs from Stokehouse in Brisbane.
Lamont's on Smiths Beach were also part of the menu dishing up lamb shoulder, prawns, salad, scallops and much more.
There was also wine and beer on tap for people to enjoy thanks to Young Henry's and Lamont's.
The Mail team as well as the chefs found it easy to mingle with the crowd with everyone up for a good time.
Richard Ousby from Stokehouse was everyone's bestfriend, being featured in many photos throughout the day.
Oliver Gould also talked with MC Anna Gare about his whirlwind career and how the Margaret River Gourmet Escape was such a success.
