The 51st Festival of Busselton is just around the corner, bringing with it a number of exciting events.
The Burning of the Festival Spirit is one to keep an eye out for.
On January 17 a giant effigy will be burned to mark the ending of the festival.
The effigy will appear again the year after at the start of the festival to show that the spirit of the Festival of Busselton cannot be extinguished.
Built by Mark Everson, more work from the talented artist is on display at the Busselton Visitors Centre.
On the same day, a glow ride will take place at 8pm.
New to the festival, the event will begin at the corner of Almond Parkway and Garrigue Garden where children will ride on a safe, supervised park.
The Festival encourages entries from everyone aged 15 and under, with prizes to be awarded for the best dressed bicycle.
Early registrations will receive led lights to help decorate your bicycle.
Register your entry by emailing your name and age to mikeberson@bigpond.com.
The Festival committee is also seeking additional members to help organise the 2016 Festival.
