BUSSELTON Swimming Club members achieve excellent results in round four of Swimming Western Australia’s Open Water Series at Champion Lakes in Perth.
Tessa Viljoen swam in the elite five kilometre event and finished fourth in her age group.
Her time was the best yet for the emerging open water star and was fast enough for her to add a national qualifying time to her list of open water accolades.
Another of the club’s talented open water swimmers Jack Greaves took out the silver medal placing in his age group despite swimming the five kilometre event for the very first time.
Busselton Swimming Club is very pleased to see many of its swimmers taking on the open water, inspired by an earlier visit and ongoing mentoring from three-time Rottnest Swim winner Paul Laver.
The club is hoping to send swimmers to the National Open Water Championships being held in Fremantle in February.
