YOUNG Busselton pirates boarded the Leeuwin sail training ship on January 11 to take part in a fancy dress competition.
The event was part of the Festival of Busselton and was aimed at children aged 12 years and under.
The ship was moored more than a kilometre out from the shore along the Busselton Jetty.
Pirate Shayden Russell-Morey won the first place for children aged between 10 to 12.
