A Facebook video of a girl standing up in the sunroof of a BMW on Kwinana Freeway has resulted in the driver being fined.
WAtoday broke the story when the clip was posted on social media on January 14, which showed an incident that allegedly occurred about 4pm on Sunday January 11.
The vision showed a girl in a black BMW travelling on the Kwinana Freeway near Karnup Road in Baldivis, standing up in the open sunroof of the vehicle.
As a result of inquiries by Murdoch Police, a 20-year-old Como woman has received an infringement for allowing a child under 16 to travel in a motor vehicle without a seatbelt.
The infringement is a $500 fine and the loss of four demerit points.
