Modern medicine could not save 19-year-old Sophie Burgess who died 48 hours after giving birth to twins in the UK.
Ms Burgess, from Telford, contracted septicaemia, or poisoning in the blood, shortly after giving birth which led to her death.
She left behind twins, Oliver and Evie, her partner Alex Carter and her parents and brother.
"When I was younger my dad used to take me and my sister out into the garden at night when someone had died and show us the sky and he'd point and say every star is a person in heaven and that one over there's your grandad," her brother Craid Burgess said on Facebook.
"Tonight there's a new star watching over me and mum and dad I love you baby sis."
Ms Burgess went into labour nine weeks early and gave birth to baby Oliver naturally and Evie by Caesarean section. Both babies were just over 1.3 kilograms each.
She felt cramps on March 11 and rushed to the local hospital before being transferred to Wolverhampton New Cross Hospital in Telford.
Miss Burgess's mother, Mandy, told the Shropshire Star, the family did not know what had caused her daughter to contract septicemia.
"The reason behind this is still unknown but the hospital have been conducting their own investigations," she said.
Ms Burgess, a former employee at event venue Telford International Centre, was excited about becoming a mother.

She also took a pre-birth trip to London and had purchased "10 lots of photo albums in preparation for the babies".

A family friend has set up a fund to raise money for Ms Burgess' twins. More than £3000 ($5770) has been raised for the new Burgess family exceeding its £500 target.
"We hope to raise money in Sophie's memory so that their dad Alex can use this towards items they may need or to put in a trust fund for the twins as we all know how expensive looking after children can be," her fundraising page said.
Her family are still in shock but had thanked everyone for their support.
"I hope Nan's keeping you safe. Promise you'll come and visit me?" her brother Craig posted on Facebook.
