He filmed a cameo on Home and Away last week, but don't expect Ed Sheeran to return to Summer Bay any time soon.
The I See Fire singer has said that, although he enjoyed the opportunity to appear on the soap, acting is not an avenue he wants to pursue.
"I don't think I'm one of these musicians who are going to be doing that instead of music," the 24-year-old told Melbourne's Fifi & Dave on 101.9 FOX FM.
Although the singer ruled out a return to soap operas, he said he could possibly be persuaded to appear on the silver screen, but only by "the right film at the right time".
"I'd only do something like that if I could do the soundtrack, or something. I'd have to be involved musically," he said.
"You just want to be master of one trade, you don't want to be jack of all of them."
The singer was then played a clip of show host Fifi Box's own Home and Away cameo from 2010, in which Box played an excitable Fashions on the Field judge.
While Box's co-host, Dave Thornton, poked fun at the clip, Sheeran defended her performance, taking aim at the Australian soap's writing.
"You have the script to work with. And it's never going to be a Tarantino script if it's Home and Away, is it?"
Sheeran, who is performing at Rod Laver Arena, has been touring Australia since March 20, and seems to be enjoying his stay.
"Can I get citizenship here? Don't I have to be an olive farmer or something?" he joked.
The singer made headlines last week when he crashed a Sydney couple's wedding to sing his song Thinking Out Loud for their wedding dance.
The couple, who had won their wedding on Sydney's Kyle & Jackie O Show, had chosen the song for their dance but had no idea that Sheeran would be stopping by to perform it in person.
 
Sheeran's Australian tour wraps up in Perth on April 5.
