A 50-year-old man was taken to hospital after his car ploughed into a two-storey house in Bassendean on Thursday morning.
Police, ambulance officers and fire and rescue crews were called to the West Road property at 11.38am amid reports a vehicle had careered from the road, across a reserve and slammed into a house.
The man, who was trapped in the vehicle, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Initial information suggested the second storey of the house was unstable and State Emergency Service volunteers were called in to help support the structure.
