A SHEARING shed, a variety of mediums and a love for the Australian context are some of the elements that join together to create Dee Credaro’s break out exhibition From the Bucket List.
As part of the region’s Open Studios event, Credaro opened up her family’s working shearing shed to the public where her creations and life style will be on display for all to see.
Her En Plein Air series was captivating which has a specific process of creation.
It is where the main part of the painting, if not all of it, is done outside, on the spot.
Only small adjustments and finishing touches are allowed back in the studio.
This promotes a true reflection of mood and ambience of that snapshot of light and time.
It can also be terribly challenging, frustrating and exhilarating, attempting to capture moving subjects and ever changing shadows, as well as fighting the elements, wildlife and people, Ms Credaro said.
