WEST Busselton Primary School commemorated 100 years of Anzac with a ceremony organised by the students this morning.
War veteran George Pearson and Vasse MLA Libby Mettam attended the ceremony with Mr Pearson giving an address to students on the history of Anzac.
Floral wreaths were laid and poppy seeds were scattered in a peace garden surrounded by paper doves that were created by the children.
The doves contained hand written messages from students on peace and remembrance.
A carved metal Anzac silhouette stood over the garden which was made by year one teacher Jenny Norris.
Many of the student’s great grandfathers were honoured during an ode of remembrance before the event concluded with Mr Frank Clare playing The Last Post on his bugle, a one minute silence and flag raising ceremony.
