The family of the prospector found dead in a remote WA Goldfields say the "jigsaw puzzle" surrounding his death and the whereabouts of his missing wife needs to be solved.
On April 17, police confirmed the human remains found in a mineshaft in the remote WA Goldfields were that of missing prospector Raymond Kehlet.
Raymond Kehlet , 47, and his wife Jennie, 49, were last seen on March 22 in an area called Table Top, just out of Sandstone, 730 kilometres north-east of Perth.
Police began searching for the Beverley couple after their Great Dane was seen wandering around the town site.
Police and emergency crews found human remains in the mine shift near Sandstone on April 8, while search crews were scanning the area looking for the pair.
At the time the identity of the body was unknown.
Despite police scouring the area for weeks, Ms Kehlet was never found.
Police on Monday said there was no signs off foul play over Mr Kehlet's death, but they were continuing their investigations.
Ms Kehlet's son Darcy said there were a lot of questions unanswered.
"It's a big jigsaw puzzle we are fumbling with at that minute," he said.
"Anything we can get our hands on would be a big help... knowledge is what we are after at the minute."
Darcy said even though the couple had never been prospecting in the remote regions of WA before, the pair were experienced bush campers.
"As far as being in a remote area prospecting this was knew to them, but they had practiced prospecting on the farm."
Mr Kehlet's daughter Charmaine said the family last spoke to Raymond on March 17.
She said the family were hoping Jennie was still alive.
"It's very important Jennie's located and that our family and her family have some answers," she said.
Mr Kehlet's brother Malcolm said finding his sister-in-law alive could help unravel the mystery surrounding Raymond's death.
"In all honesty you can come up with a 1001 scenarios really and we are probably never going to have an answer until we find Jennie," he said.
Detective Inspector Anthony Lee said police had released a number of similar items that Ms Kehlet may have discarded whilst walking through the area.
He said police believe she could have dumped a GPS tracker, a metal detector coil, chains, ropes and a metal detector.
"If you have been in the area and located any items of a similar description we urge you to contact police so the items can be assessed," he said.
