There are reports that former Harvey footballer Anthony Morabito may have played his last game for the Fremantle Dockers.
The injury ravaged 24-year-old has undergone three knee reconstructions and with on-going knee soreness the club has told him not to train.
Channel 7 revealed last week that a London surgeon who is a friend of Morabito has requested a look at his knee scans to see if he can prolong his playing career.
It is understood the Fremantle Dockers are now looking at helping Morabito transition into life after football.
Fremantle Docker’s coach Ross Lyon told Channel 7 the club were exploring the whole world to find the best treatment for Morabito.
“He is still a very young man with enormous talent and it is not over until it’s over,” Lyons said.
“We certainly haven’t given up hope.”
Morabito is out of contract at the end of the season.
