AFTER being in the building game for 60 years, Busselton resident Jim Clark has finally received official praise for his work.
Mr Clark of JF Clark Construction recently brought home five awards from the South West Masters Builders Awards.
Mr Clark had the help of his son Glen from Tilbanup Timbers and eight sub-contractors to create the best home he has seen in his career.
It was the first time Mr Clark decided to enter one of his homes into the awards and said he was delighted with the outcome.
The awards include construction excellence for a contract home between $1-1.5 million, framed construction over $800,000, excellence in carpentry, best framed construction for Caves Road and excellence in energy efficiency.
To add to this, the home was also named in the top three in the Best Country Awards.
Mr Clark said it was no wonder the home was successful as he said everything about it was excellent.
He said his son was instrumental in the success with designing the home.
Mr Clark also wanted to thank all the sub-contractors involved as their cooperation and workmanship enabled the home to win the five awards.
The home owners’ cooperation and contribution to the home was also a huge a part of its success, Mr Clark said.
