A charity guide dog loaded with donations was stolen from the West Busselton IGA store on Saturday.
Busselton police Senior Sergeant Steve Principe said the man caught on CCTV smashed one of the glass entry doors to IGA, activating the alarm, and wheeled the dog out of the store in a trolley.
"The clear CCTV footage helped officers identify the man but we are still calling for witnesses who might have seen the incident or received a large amount of loose change in the last couple of days," he said.
Police have since charged a West Busselton man with burglary and stealing.
